       The term "Sunday School" brings a lot of thoughts to people's minds.                   - Perhaps you recall memories of children dressed in their "Sunday Best" creating crafts from popsicle sticks or similar materials while listening to Bible stories.                                                                                                     

- Maybe you think of a serious place where participants have to know the Bible inside and out to give correct answers to the teacher's questions. 

- Or even still, Sunday School may paint for you a picture of people who meet to plan socials to eat southern fried chicken every opportunity they get.

     No doubt our pre-conceived notions may have been formed by what we have heard and experienced in the past. The truth is - we've changed since some of those images of Sunday School. Furthermore - so has Sunday School - changed, that is.

     Sunday School classes at First Assembly are settings in which people can freely share how the Bible, God's Word, affects their individual lives. We believe that the Bible is still relevant to the life that you lead each day. Sunday School is a place where you learn how God's Word speaks to YOUR life, YOUR questions, YOUR challenges and YOUR difficulties.

     Sunday School provides a small group where you matter - in a group of people who can support you in prayer, encourage you in your struggles and help you to establish friendships and alliances with other believers.
